Oakbank Medical Centre
As Healthcare specialists, Arkilab have worked collaboratively with Castlegate Projects and their construction partner Warden Construction to have delivered the Stage 3+ coordinated drawing package for an exciting redevelopment of a locally listed building in Walkden, Manchester to provide new medical facilities for Oakbank Medical Centre.
The Victorian building occupies a prominent position on the street-scene, comprising the original painted pilasters carrying pediments and fascias to the shop front with modern signage above.
An extensive internal refurbishment has provided the modern functions required for a Primary Medical facility with a main clinical zone of 7 consult/exam rooms and a minor surgery space, supported by all ancillary facilities.
The conversion has been an enjoyable, challenging and complex package to work on.
