The team has previously worked on a number of important cultural and leisure projects ranging from libraries and hotel/golf complexes in Greece to community swimming pools and football stadiums across the UK.
A notable project to date for Katerina is the National Opera and Library of Greece where she was fortunate to work as an architect for Betaplan S.A., the local Greek partner to Renzo Piano’s Building Workshop, collaborating in all phases of the project.
Members of the team were also involved in a carbon zero community facility comprising a pool, gym, library and café in Oldham, as well as sports halls at schools and colleges in Swindon, Slough and Dagenham amongst others.
Building on the team’s previous experience in the leisure sector designing non-league football ground developments and sports halls, we are working with the Berkhamsted Sports Grounds Charitable Association to produce the spatial analysis for the sports grounds and facilities element of the overall Bulbourne Cross Masterplan in conjunction with Thakeham Group, a development at the eastern side of Berkhamsted, that aims to provide housing, a school, a country park and community sport and leisure facilities. The developers, Thakeham Group, wish to achieve the inclusion of this development within the Dacorum Local Plan and thus replace several disparate developments around Berkhamsted that are currently proposed within the draft Local Plan.
