The team has previously worked on a number of important cultural and leisure projects ranging from libraries and hotel/golf complexes in Greece to community swimming pools and football stadiums across the UK.
A notable project to date for Katerina is the National Opera and Library of Greece where she was fortunate to work as an architect for Betaplan S.A., the local Greek partner to Renzo Piano’s Building Workshop, collaborating in all phases of the project.
Members of the team were also involved in a carbon zero community facility comprising a pool, gym, library and café in Oldham, as well as sports halls at schools and colleges in Swindon, Slough and Dagenham amongst others.
Building on the team’s previous experience in the leisure sector designing non-league football ground developments and sports halls, where the Arkliab team were part of the team responsible for an award winning community stadium, and sports hall in Slough, with a value £8.5m, we are delighted to announce a Commission to undertake the site appraisal and masterplan for Chesham United FC’s new development.
Working with Bede Investment Group and Breen Consulting we are working on the provision of a new state of the art facility for the Club. The First team are members of the Premier Division South of the Southern Football League, and the facility will provide a First team pitch with covered seating and standing areas, an associated training pitch, a two-court badminton-size sports hall with an arena for competition level gymnastics and associated parking for cars and coaches.
