Conservatory Extension for a private residence in Bury

We have completed the Technical design of a single storey rear extension to the kitchen of an existing dormer bungalow residence in Bury.

The single storey extension has been designed as a rectangular flat roof massing to avoid complexity and give a minimalist look to the existing house.

The plan form also creates a semi covered external living area with a timber pergola above, hidden in the rectangular shape, that gives the client the ability to extend their lifestyle outside when this is possible.

The interior dining space has direct access to the outside by the new proposed bi-fold doors that will open with level access to the external deck to provide a continuous flow of the internal space to the exterior.

Three large openable rooflights are bringing additional daylight to the dining area.

The proposed materials are a combination of natural and black timber cladding that complement the existing materials, blend with the garden’s landscape and at the same time promote a contemporary look to the residence.
