We have been appointed by Castlegate Projects to design two new medical centres in Salford.
The new Irlam Medical Centre will provide new modern flexible spaces (including digital consulting) to deliver current primary care services, to plan for future service needs and accommodate other NHS community services.
The current accommodation is limiting and restricting the Practice business plan, the Clinical Commissioning Group has identified a need for a Community Hub to provide additional services.
Project deliverability have been agreed as one of the key project issues, alongside clinical functionality, affordability and longer-term security and control of the building assets.
Limes Medical Centre in Walkden with the support of Salford CCG are looking to deliver a new 800m2 GIA medical centre which will provide new accommodation to address the current accommodation shortfalls.
The new facility will accommodate the GP practice, plus other NHS community services and possibly pharmacy lead services, if appropriate. The process will explore how the scheme fits strategically, linking to other Council lead services, partner agencies and community groups to maximise impact on health and well-being.
